Senior Electrical Engineer

Qualifications

Senior Electrical Engineer - Minimum of 7 years experience with an accredited BS degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent program.

Responsibilities

Job responsibilities will include:

  1. Design and development of digital/processor circuits.
  2. Design and development of analog data collection circuits.
  3. Design/experience with wired and wireless telemetry (e.g. FSK, Bluetooth, ...).
  4. Responsible for complete system and sub system integrations.
  5. Participate throughout the entire lifecycle of products, from concept to design & development, to build-out and integration, and on to possible field support.
  6. Design of high reliability and/or long-lifetime hardware, with specialized knowledge of heat transfer and vibration hardening.
  7. Evaluating 3rd Party Vendor subsystem components. Will additionally be responsible for generating specifications, reviewing designs, procuring components.
  8. Developing documentation including test procedures, component analysis summaries, circuit schematics, and technical engineering notes. Will additionally be responsible for generating requirements and participating in overall architecture design.
  9. Performing test and debugging at board, component, and subsystem levels.
  10. Will lead small teams of engineers and technicians.
  11. Will report to and work directly with the CTO and thought leader in the field of high temperature/ high reliable electronics.

Requirements

Applicants should have experience and knowledge of HW/SW design, including analog, digital/processor and RF circuits.

Applicants should also display basic familiarity with digital electronics (e.g. microprocessors, DSPs, CPLDs, FPGAs), one or more communications protocols (e.g. Ethernet, CAN, RS422/485/232, I^2C, SPI). Experience with circuit schematic capture and simulation, as well as PCB layout, is preferred.

Special consideration will be give to applicants with additional skills / experience in design for extreme high temperature/high pressure/caustic environments, high reliability fault tolerant systems or radiation hardening.

Knowledge of programming microcontrollers (8051 derivatives) in Assembly or C++ a significant advantage.

Applicants must be self-motivated, able to work under little supervision, able to adapt to changing design requirements, and able to easily transition between projects to meet priority shifts.

Electrical Mechanical Technician

Qualifications

Electrical Mechanical Technician - Minimum of 2 years experience with an accredited Associates degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent program.

Responsibilities

Job responsibilities will include:

  1. Responsibility for manufacturing, assembling, testing, and calibrating products.
  2. Performing troubleshooting of electronic components, sub systems and hardware.
  3. Participating in hardware and/or electronics repair, including soldering and possible machining.
  4. Supporting products and customers.
  5. Developing documentation including test procedures, component analysis summaries, circuit schematics, and technical engineering notes.
  6. Will work in small teams of engineers and technicians.

Requirements

Applicants should have excellent soldering and troubleshooting abilities.

Willingness to travel for field support (approx. several weeks each year).

Knowledge of programming microcontrollers (8051 derivatives) in Assembly or C++ a significant advantage.
